Through August 24, you have a unique opportunity to visit the California Dreamin' art exhibit at the John Wayne Airport, Orange County.

California Dreamin' brought together six talented Orange County artists. Jeff Fleming, Joan Gladstone, Mariana Ivanova, Jeffries Moore, Melissa A. Murphy and Kevin Short came together to share their experiences of beach life. The authors' idea was to portray the sun, sand and sea in a unique way. The result is very bright, colorful and summery.

It is noted that the exhibition features works in oil and acrylic painting techniques and others. They can be seen on the upper level in terminals A, B and C and the lower level near baggage carousels 2 and 4.

"I don't just add paint to the canvas, I combine color and composition to create a dynamic spirit. Art should attract your eyes and speak to your emotions. My paintings have personality and character. When you look at them, they respond with inspiration," says Jeff Fleming about his work.

Another author Mariana Ivanova has complemented California Dreamin' with cross-stitched canvases. The artist was inspired by walking along the streets of cities around the world with their bright lanterns. And, for example, Jeffries Moore used hyper-realistic subject matter. And depicted the sea in its powerful form, emphasizing the beauty and danger of water.

Meanwhile, Joan Gladstone has demonstrated playfulness in her paintings. Educated at Boston University's School of Visual Arts and Laguna College of Art and Design, she has been painting oil paintings that depict beach life for more than 20 years," according to a post on the John Wayne Airport website.
